I have received the following from Brian
Gibbons (27th August 2010)
Les and Bernadette Hills
Les & Bernadette are over here on
an extended holiday. They were due here in Weymouth yesterday.
Sadly his 104 year old mother died during their visit to her care
home in Winchester & following the funeral last Monday, Les
was unwell & has since had an heart attack.
He is currently awaiting an angiogram, & has been told that
whatever happens, he will not be able to travel for some time.
When I rang him on his Oz mobile
( +61418935171 ) yesterday afternoon to find out when they would
be arriving, a Ward Nurse answered. Les was able to speak to me
& explain what had happened......
I hope to visit him this weekend & will keep you informed.
He is is currently in Clarke Ward, Royal Hampshire County Hospital,
Romsey Road, Winchester. SO22 5DG.
We wish you well Les and hope you have
a speedy recovery.
From all the members of the FVA.

Update from Briam Gibbons (3rd September
2010)
Have just had a call from Les with good
news. I had visited him last Saturday & given him a Get Well
card on behalf of the FVA. He was sent from Royal Hampshire County
Hospital to Southampton General where he had an angiogram. No
serious fault was found & he has been discharged. He plans
to come to Weymouth with Bernadette on Monday ( 6th. Sept.) to
visit family & meet up with me. Due to fly back to OZ on the
9th.....
He thanks all his friends in the FVA for their kind concern &
support during this difficult period.
